From Verdant:

Verdant Recordings returns with an intriguing release and continues to follow its unique, meandering path through the deeper corners of the electronic music landscape.

The label's tenth record invites listeners to explore rich, enchanting, ambient textures and the sonics for which Verdant Recordings and its label head Andy Green were first associated with nearly 20 years ago. An ambient release on the label became passion project for Andy and Less Popular Than Cats was conceptualised as the label took form in 2015. That 7 years have passed ahead of release, is perhaps a measure of the care and love poured into it from both the label and the artists involved.

This LP aims to give listeners a truly immersive experience with long contemplative tracks over a double vinyl release and simultaneous digital release.

One of the UK’s cherished electro producers, Reedale Rise (Simon Keat), graces side A with a rare excursion into beat-less space perhaps taking inspiration from Selected Ambient Works. Next, O.utlier casts an imaginative and eerie spell blending atmospherics with distant keys and motifs. Talented live and recorded musician Jo Johnson captivates with cascading synthesis that fall into a memsemric rhythm, Romanticise The World, (who released on Verdant before as !nterject!on on the Common Places EP ) closes the LPs' 80 minutes of deepness, assembling Detroit Inspired landscapes to fall into. Followers of Detroit Esclator Company should enjoy this journey.

From Juno:

Verdant's tenth release is another meandering and mystic trip through ambient electronic sounds that leaves you a million miles away from wherever you started. All four artists here excel with electro producer Reedale Ris kicking off in languid, far-sighted fashion with their mournful synths and distant cosmic designs. Out.Lier's 'Track 2' is another one cast adrift on deepest space with smeared pads and floating aural details suspending you in mid air. Jo Johnson's cascading synth motifs are pure and innocent and cathartic and Romanticise The World's 'Track 4' is mellifluous and hopeful.
